Corneal Topography (mapping)
From 4/25/06 post from Ganga S/NJ to
Karen L/CA re Topography:
Karen just want to let you know that I am holding you
in my prayers for a great checkup tomorrow.
Take care of yourself okay? Re - topography it is a computer
test that takes a picture of the cornea and all uneven portions
(wrinkles that caues blurry vision) is shown in red.
This gives the surgeon as to how much the astigmatism,
which stitch and how many to remove or play around with.
Karen this is what I understood from my surgeon
and the low vision clinic that I worked at -
not yet had my first t - LOL I think they do this
after the first month or so after t as it heals so
may be they may not do it for you tomorrow -
just telling you. Every test goes in a sequence. Ganga S/NJ
